RICHMOND’S YOUTH MUSIC TALENT TO STAGE EXCHANGE SESSIONS

Young people from youth music organisations across Richmond are coming together to stage Exchange Sessions, a brand-new event to showcase the rich musical talent in the borough. The event will be at The Exchange on Friday 16 October.

Up-coming bands and performers from the Richmond Music Trust Bandit, The Basement Door, Teddington School, the Terry Marshall Academy are taking part, along with a showcase performance from singer-songwriter and BRIT School graduate, Nad Etzioni, whose musical roots are connected with the area.

The Exchange stage will exclusively be handed over for the night giving young people the opportunity to perform in a professional setting, providing experience and helping artists develop confidence, musicianship, performance skills, and collaborate with other bands.

All proceeds will go back into funding future Exchange Sessions, which are planned in 2027, giving more opportunities for young people to get involved in music and live performance.

Band line-up confirmed:

Teddington School Soul Band

Finn End Of The Wedge – Richmond Music Trust Bandit

Handful Of Nothing – The Basement Door

The Ties – Terry Marshall Academy

Nad Etzioni

The event is being sponsored by Twickenham based indie record store, Eel Pie Records and hosted by Radio Jackie presenter, Nicky Patrick, who also hosts Play New Music Radio, a monthly show dedicated to new music from talented up-and-coming bands and artists in London.

Under 18s tickets are £5 and general admission is pay what you like, minimum £7.50.  Doors open 7 pm, show 7.30 pm. Tickets at https://www.exchangetwickenham.co.uk/show/exchange-sessions/
