Jack Dee comes to The Exchange!

Jack’s Joke Show (Work in Progress)...

Jack Dee, stand-up comedian, actor, presenter, and writer is bringing his work in progress Jack’s Joke Show to The Exchange Thursday 7 May 2026.

Celebrating 40 years in standup comedy, Dee’s brand-new show is a memoir of his favourite and intriguing old stories, jokes and funny anecdotes assembled to form glimpses of the influences that led him into and helped shape his comedy career.

As one of Britain’s biggest and best-loved comedy stars, Dee has captured the imagination of audiences and critics with his dry humour and deadpan delivery. His TV career began in 1991 with Channel 4’s The Jack Dee Show, and he went on to write and star in many acclaimed TV comedies, including Jack Dee’s Saturday Night and Jack Dee’s Happy Hour. In 2004, he hosted the BAFTA-nominated Jack Dee Live at the Apollo.

In 2009, Dee replaced Humphrey Lyttelton as the chairman of BBC Radio 4’s ‘antidote to panel games’ I’m Sorry, I Haven’t A Clue and co-wrote, and starred in, two of his own sitcoms; BBC Two’s Lead Balloon, and the hit ITV show Bad Move.

In 2015, Jack became the host of the hugely popular show The Apprentice: You’re Fired and The Apprentice: You’re Hired (BBC Two) and has starred as Geoff in the hit BBC sitcom Josh. He is also the author of a compelling, bestselling autobiography, Thanks for Nothing, and the agony uncle book, What is Your Problem?

The Exchange is known for attracting big ticket names to play ‘warm up’ and work in progress shows because of the intimate and up-close atmosphere of the venue, and Dee follows in the footsteps of Greg Davies, Adam Hills, Ruby Wax, Stephen K Amos, Lucy Porter, Ria Lina, Chris McCausland, Shazia Mirza, and Manford’s Comedy Club.

Legendary band, Squeeze, returned to The Exchange in March 2026 for two sell out shows to launch their new album Trixies, ahead of their upcoming album tour.
