The Great Belzoni and the Case of the Mystery of the Death of the Great Belzoni!
Join us in Egypt, in 1935, for a theatrical entertainment full of twists and turns, larger-than-life characters, and a whodunit to solve…
After two sell-out years, The Exchange Players return to bring you another fun and frivolous, standalone theatrical entertainment in The Exchange’s beautiful Conservatory.
From the pen of local writer Loz Keal, who also wrote The Exchange pantomime in 2023, the ‘tremendously enjoyable’, Robin Hood and 2024’s ‘fast paced and highly entertaining’
Cinderella, we are proud to present this hilarious spoof whodunit that follows Italy’s answer to Miss Marple – The Great Belzoni!
It’s Egypt… it’s hot… and full of sand; a dead body has been found; it is said that the Ancient Egyptian God of Death, Anubis, has been seen walking abroad… but surely that can’t be true… or can it…? True or not, the locals are spooked…
Never fear, The Great Belzoni is on his way to help solve this new mystery… or is he…
Meanwhile, the suspects are all drawn together at The Tooting Kharmon Café & Authentic Egyptian Dance Emporium…
Who could have done it…? ‘Digger’ the outspoken Australian foreman of the newly found tomb… or maybe it was the Lady Deep-Pockets who is fed up with bankrolling fruitless tomb excavations… surely it can’t be the strange Egyptian that no one seems to know…?
There’s only one way to find out… join us in The Conservatory and watch as everything is revealed!
Whilst this is the third ‘Great Belzoni Mystery,’ this is a standalone performance where no previous knowledge is required.
Tickets are on sale NOW!
