With a career spanning four decades, records sales of 120 million worldwide George Michael is considered one of the greatest artists of the MTV generation.
Artist In residence, Janette Mason is bringing her unique reworking of George Michael’s music back to the Exchange for a fourth year running.
She will be joined by the incredibly talented vocalist Brendan Reilly (Basement Jaxx, Shania Twain) and Ade Omotayo, who famously lent his talents to Gorillaz and Amy Winehouse, plus an amazing band of some of the UK’s finest session musicians.
“The flame-haired Janette Mason, musical director, took ownership of the set. In addition to being a rousing keyboardist, Mason boasts formidable skill as a composer, producer, and arranger– toying with the arrangements and sometimes entirely reinventing them. She has the uncanny knack of undoing a song by its seams and reconceptualising it with brazen originality.

The Artists
Janette Mason ( Musical Director)
Mason is a highly respected UK pianist, arranger and composer. She has performed with pop stars, Seal, k.d.Lang and Oasis, has produced and arranged for jazz singers Lea DeLaria and Ian Shaw and composed music for both TV (Sex And The City) and film (Ruby Blue). She has released four albums under her own name (the most recent being 2018’s Red Alert) and is currently working with legendary Bowie producer Tony Visconti.
Brendan Reilly
Brendan Reilly is an American singer-songwriter who has been based in London for many years, releasing critically acclaimed records and touring the world with the likes of Quincy Jones, Shania Twain, Disclosure, and Basement Jaxx. Currently touring with dance music legends Pete Tong and Cerrone, he can also be seen at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club every month with Soul Family, now celebrating 15 years at the legendary Jazz club.
ADE OMOTAYO
Known for his rich and soulful voice, Ade Omotayo has famously lent his talents to Gorillaz and Amy Winehouse, and continues to carry on Amy’s legacy, touring with fellow members of her iconic band to this day. He has also released multiple records of his own to critical acclaim, such as 2020’s “Rubber Lion” with his band, Equals, and has been featured on many records, most recently 2025’s “Business of Love” EP by Caio Cenci.
